Waka-Waka

With the late night Saturday, we made the call to go late to church. We arrived for the second hour. The Thompsons came for the third hour. We all sat together. It was fun to have friends there. We met a couple of new people, so we’ll have someone to talk to each week. Hayley and I walked home and the others metroed it. The main street we take home is a street that has lots of shops open on Sundays. It’s totally crowded in comparison to the rest of the week, but cool to see the streets full of people.
We had some lunch, and then rested awhile. Dave, Dillon and I decided to check out the Musee Carnavalet since it was free today. We got there pretty close to closing, but still got to see quite a bit. Both the museum and the grounds were beautiful.
We had a little family council to plan our week. It is our last “full” week in France, so we want to make sure that we get everything we can in the next few days.
Tonight, we watched the World Cup. We were totally rooting for Spain and so we were SOOOOO happy with the game. It was fun, but the overtime kept us all up later than we should have been.
Dave and I talked tonight. We decided that Sundays out here are the hardest. Usually our Sundays are spent with good friends and family, and so these past couple have been tough. Our first Sunday with the McDevitt family was just perfect. We think that we need to plan our Sundays out to try and help us avoid the let down.
